This place is a hidden gem. The food was amazing, the omelette was tasty and full of flavor, their pancakes were light and fluffy and their hash brown was crunchy and not oily at all. The service was great and Amy was super nice and friendly. They offer a breakfast and a lunch menu which is perfect a visitor dropping by any time. Great place. View all feedback.
What Carlee Wintheiser doesn't like about By The Sea Cafe:
Do not dine here unless you are willing to wait over an hour for a cold, greasy breakfast with burnt toast. The waitress was friendly but warned us that our order may take 10 minutes. However, our food didn't arrive until over 45 minutes later, despite the small number of occupied tables. We ordered simple omelettes that should have been easy to prepare. Save yourself the time and money and avoid this place. View all feedback.
Would give a 3.5 if possible. The waitress was very kind. Saw us and came out right away with a bowl of water for my dog. Cute little place. The issue was with the food. There were only 3 customers and our food came out cold. It wasn’t very good. The eggs Benedict was good but the rest was just okay.
The staff is really nice and the location is awesome. Unfortunately, to serve four of us, it took an hour from when we ordered to when we got it. The food was average but definitely not worth the wait. When I asked about appending my order, they told me that they cook on a regular four burner stove and a Walmart griddle to address my concerns about how long it would take. Multiple groups arrived and left after hearing the wait times. The crazy part is the cafe was MAYBE half full and yet it STILL took an hour and people were leaving left and right. They may have had a bad day but I’m not willing to risk it again.
This place is excellent! husband and I drove past our pup and moved in. waitress came with a bowl of water and insisted that we stay (we wanted to takeout). the ribs were incredible! good breakfast too. will return.
Nice small diner I stopped by around the flagger beach area driving down 1A... Breakfast omelette was delicious coffee just ok. The view of the ocean is spectacular.Friendly servers .
Today it was one of three restaurants that were open in Flagler due to it being Christmas Eve. While the waitress was busy, but the place wasn’t. She was playing a one man band with seating people, taking orders, serving, bussing tables, and cashiering as she was there by herself other than the grill man. Needless to say service was slow as it operates on island time, but I wasn’t busy, so it was okay. I ordered an omelette with Swiss and it came with white American cheese instead.
