"We stopped here for lunch on the way up to the Bruce Peninsula. The staff was great, very nice and attentive. We ordered a number of different things from a hot dog to a sirloin steak sandwich. All of the dishes came with two sides, soup or salad, as well as fries, mashed potatoes, or rice. The food was all pretty good, but it was way too much for most people. We saw a number of people taking leftovers. It would be nice to just have smaller meals. Generally your typical diner food, nothing all that amazing."

"As soon as you enter, the smell tells you it's gonna be good. We bought:1. A Baguette (crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside),2. A dark chocolate brownie (a little old but tasty),3. Lemon and strawberry cake (creamy, balanced between acidic and sweet, delicious -however, I would recommend to separate the sweets from the salty pastry as this one tasted like meat),4. Black berries slice of cake and chocolate cake with white and dark chocolate topping (fresh, moist and delicious).Overall, a great experience and I would visit again next time we swing by the city."

"We stumbled upon this gem on the way back from the Bruce peninsula and I would absolutely be willing to drive back out to markdale just for a meal at Marilynne's. The food was incredible, the service was kind, helpful, and quick and the ambiance was like sitting in your grandmas cozy kitchen. I would recommend anyone driving through make a reservation and stop here! We got my toddler eggs and the breakfast sausage and I couldn't believe how incredible the breakfast sausage was. Also, Don't skip the scone for the drive home!"

The store is full of fresh, wonderful food. Local crafts. Amazing prepared food. Can't say enough about the wonderful people who run this place!"
