My friend and I stopped off here today on our way to Holywell. I had seen it listed in the Daily Telegraph's Top 50 best fish and chip shops. Last time we were in Holywell it was on a day the chip shop was closed. We will definitely call in again. It was well worth the detour. Lovely light batter on the fish and delicious chips. Although it is rated in the top 50 fish and chip shops it is,at best,average. It only shows what a complete sham these surveys are. Whilst the fish are acceptable the chips are tasteless. The peas are something else. The ones I were served were a cold, dark green mush. They looked as if they had been scraped off the residue of a luke warm pan and were completely inedible.
