"La Chabola is a slice of Asturian (and Canarian food heaven in North Tenerife. This charming and cosy restaurant with super views, successfully manages to combine two distinct styles in the traditional Spanish restaurant form with a twist. If you 've never sampled either region 's cuisine prepare to be blown away... (which could also occur if you over indulge on the mouth watering Asturian bean dishes: fabada or fabes... Canarian food is definitely worth exploring and Asturian new cuisine is enough to make San Sebastian wobble on its culinary perch. If you 're a foodie exploring the Island, don 't miss this little star off your list. Quality/price/service/atmosphere Outstanding Quite how a restaurant can serve such great food at this kind of price is intriguing. If you opt for the lunchtime Menu del Dia, you 'll be set for the rest of the day and will probably need a siesta to recover. Enjoy 3 courses with drink and bread included for under 8 euros per person. From traditional Asturian classics (see below to delicious Canarian cuisine including the classic (and, some say, the best on the Island dish La Ropa Vieja (a nutritious broth made from chickpeas, chicken or veal and vegetables this is a restaurant worth discovering.. La Chabola has some stellar Asturian dishes to try before you die: Fabada Asturiana La Chabola serves quite possibly the finest home style fabada outside Asturias. Fabada is a rich, traditional, delicious white bean stew with compendium of morcilla (black sausage , chorizo and lacon (pork shoulder or tocino (bacon . This is an experience for two best undertaken at lunch. Pastel de Cabracho meaty scorpion fish mousse/pate, poached and blended with aromatics. Pastel de cabracho is one of La Chabola 's signature dishes. Cachopo (usually breaded veal or chicken stuffed with ham, cheese or vegetables Desserts: Don 't miss the Arroz con leche (perfectly sweetened rice pudding and Copa de la Casa (with cream, biscuit and dulce de leche . Everyone is catered for at this charming restaurant from couples to families or large groups of friends, business or solo travellers. We loved it. Buen Provecho!"

"I haven't stopped at this point in the ravelo for years. I went for the memory I had of his puchero. I have to recognize that the good and familiar treatment you receive helps a lot, but it would have been perfect if the pork had been served warm. the staircase and roasted cheese (I had not tried it with gofio) exquisite. the wine of the house, was not bad -something piety and dessert, homemade as it has to be. the price, within the normal, throwing to the economics. we will repeat."

"Nice, modern styled restaurant with a traditional touch. They offer typical canarian food with a modern flavour. The service was excellent. The preparation of each dish was stylish. Absolutely recomendable!"
