"The name of the restaurant doesn't make sense. It should be Japanese Yakiniku and Korean BBQ. Anyways, it's evident this restaurant appropriated Korean and Japanese cuisine and severely missed the mark. The food has no authentic soul or love cooked into it. No fault of the kitchen. More so, the menu items are curated of popular food items rather than what you'd expect from a Korean or Japanese restaurant. The Korean fried chicken was boneless and not crispy, the banchan was provided once in tiny portions. We wanted to do Korean BBQ, but it was expensive. With those prices, it should be all you can eat. We still wanted to do it until learning they individually charge for rice, lettuce, sides, etc... all the things to make it an actual meal.Instead, I ordered takoyaki and bibimbap, which was good. The kids were indifferent about their chicken hibachi. The place is decorated terribly. It looks like it was an American restaurant, and then they added bamboo, golden cat, some J-pop, Pokémon figurines, and said Yup we're Asian themed now! Anime and Pokémon fans would like it though. They have a small area that sells Asian snacks.Sorry, this place just struck a nerve. Our waitress was awesome and helpful."
