I wanted to get some bags of 88 Canteen as my husband loves Hong Kong Style pineapple rolls with Custard so much. However, I visited late at about 4 a.m. on a weekday and most of their pastries were already sold. I ordered her baked Portuguese chicken to go to Rice and dinner with my husband. The part was great with many different ingredients and the price was reasonable at $10. The dish was decent and satisfying, bu... View all feedback.
What Carissa Chang doesn't like about 88 Canteen:
Since I was in the area for a few days, I was pretty happy to see a spot like this serving nostalgic foods. I had a Portuguese cheese baked chicken spaghetti, fish tofu over rice, beef pepper over rice and thousand year old congee.Portuguese sauce was the right flavor, but the chicken in it was certainly canned. Visit this place after 5 years. Many good improvements quality of food, seating area and services. Now I'm back. Your pork fillet bum is beautiful, beef chow fun and mixed sauces steamed Vermicelli reels are all great. Sure comes back:
I gave them a 5 star because the food has the right amount of taste, without exaggerating your taste buds and for a good price. They are also really friendly. I guess so. My friend and I love coming here. Thank you.

We'll be back in the morning to taste their pastries or breakfast. The only complaint is Cash Only, which is a concern during the pandemic.
Great little place to get a good meal. Flavors or good, but not typical of Chinese takeouts. As the pork chops are served on the ground pork with pickled vegetables. General Tao was delicious. Portions are good for a person, but can be divided if you are not a big eater
Little gem away from the crowded downtown flushing. Decent prices, large portions. The baked rice and bake spaghetti are very good.
