If in Mildenhall a visit to Barleycorn is a must! All food is home cooked and there are new dishes to savour almost every day. The staff are fabulous nothing is ever too much trouble and the ambience in this lovely little place is absolutely cracking! Meet Up Mondays is a popular event and tea and biscuits is free! Sit around the table and enjoy chatting it beats a lonely cuppa at home any day. View all feedback.

I stopped by this restaurant after hearing good things about it. It's quite charming and cozy, but I was very disappointed to learn that they do not make any of their baked goods or cakes in-house. Aside from some sandwiches, everything else is purchased from external sources. It's a shame that a quaint place like this isn't baking their own bread and cakes. My friends and I make a lunch today and had a nice time. we were with a warm welcome and given choices where to sit. the food was delicious and we really enjoyed the posh pops that were new at the shop. I would recommend this beautiful, picturesque place in mildenhall.
Had tee with my daughter during the royal high season, charming terrace area, delicious scenes and a big cup tee!
We ordered a sandwich and snack plate for a baby shower that we kept in a nearby park. eating was nice with a good mix of sandwiches and other snacks (scotch eggs, sausage rolls etc.) the vegan and vegetarian boxes were also full of different options and well marked. also the packaging was fully compostable, which is always nice to see. very friendly staff and great customer service. would recommend 100%.
Barleycorn and shelby is the absolute best. it works tirelessly to improve the life of so many, offering qualitatiw high quality products and fantastic service. mildenhall is very, very happy to have such a fantastic handicraft full-quality food facility right in front of our house door. barleycorn if they can
Love this place! It’s a real gem within Mildenhall …full of delicious local produce served by friendly staff …all enjoyed within a beautiful setting. Always feel a bit lifted after a visit there.
