What User likes about The Fernery Cafe:
Been here for Sunday lunch twice now. And, we will definitely be returning. There are lots of reasons for our loyalty. 1. The food is lovely. Such a good value Sunday Lunch (we always book in advance . 2. The environment is so restful. I love Leaf Creative. I could just sit there for hours. 3. Angela. This is the most important reason. ALL the staff are terrific, without exception. BUT, the care which Angela takes is... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Fernery Cafe:
First visit here, came for a light lunch. Staff were polite and helpful but the food left a lot to be desired. My Chai latte was lovely but my partner's coffee was awful. The cup was full to the brim with no room for the milk. I ordered the beef, mushroom stilton panini with salad, crisps and home made coleslaw. It was cold in the middle, the cheese hadn't melted and the beef was tough. The coleslaw was weird, no fla... View all feedback.
Great Christmas dinner. Friday and Saturday evenings in December and some of January. Five courses of delicious food. Easy pace with plenty of time to enjoy food and company. Welcoming and lovely staff. A great evening out.
Don't go here with children, they don't provide a children's menu!! People do venture out to garden centres with little ones, so do suggest that they keep up with the times! Very pretty trees especially Acers, so very colourful display. Service very slow ..lovely staff who are trying so hard! Feel sorry for them as they are so short staffed!l On the pricey side also! Lovely lay out of the tables, I would give them full marks for that! Felt really safe during these Covid times! So if you're visiting without children, and you can cope with a slow service, it might suit you.
Extensive arrangement of trees and shrubs of all sizes in a lovely setting. Excellent cafe serving a range of freshly cooked meals, sandwiches and cakes. All tables are in attractive locations around the garden. Well worth a visit
Nice afternoon, so called a sandwich. a real setback at the price for each sandwich. but did not want to pass on the judgment until it was tried. extremely disappointed. brot simply normal thick cut and not excessively fresh. minutes salat and tee spoon. of coleslaw. the small amount of cocks looked like the bits they get at the bottom of a pack. in any case would not return.
Obviously the environment is beautiful. the menu is quite good, but I fear the reality is not quite there. The cakes are only with a terrible amount of coal on the plate. I had a pflugmanns lunch. the brot was average, but the cheese was...absolut mingen. it should be just a nice piece of single or double gloucester, but it was grounded with processed cheese with a little vile in it. the leaves were limp. the coffee was excellent. there was also a kind of atmosphere with the workers who worked it through the restaurant, not very professional.
