"I come here quite often and I get the same thing every time. I normally get a dipped sundae in a bowl with vanilla ice cream. I received a medium size cup but a baby size ice cream. I was pretty upset that I paid more money to get more ice cream and didn't receive what I paid for. This is not the first time this had happened. I'm going to have to stop coming to this one."

"An absolute gem! I love this bakery and cafe. Was looking for a perfect mocha and wasn 't disappointed. The pastries were a bonus and yes, everything tastes as good as it looks. Clean and well kept. Very friendly, personable staff. Steady stream of customers. Historic building with a hint of modern design; rustic with updates. Smooth coffee, sweet bundt cakes, moist cake balls. Highly recommend going there!"

"Honestly it’s a rude place. soon as i walked in i felt a bad vibe. the food is pretty good but not for the amount of service. honestly being haggled cause you really have to go to the bathroom doesn’t make an enjoyable dining experience especially when you’re a paying customer. honestly as far as hole in the walls go. this ain’t it. i honestly was trying to give a new establishment a chance but this is why you stick to what you know sometimes. this was terrible and at the end of the day after walking out i felt like it wasn’t a place to return to."

"January 23rd we visited The Oar House in Rockwall, near the Harbor. Established about 20 years ago, The Oar House is simply Rockwall! I give this place 5 stars and here’s why: the Oar house is quiet, romantic, cozy, rustic yet elegant, with authentic wood floors with brick and cobblestone accents. The décor and authentic feel of an old, expensive cruise ship is strongly represented here. Think Titanic meets pirate ship. The crisp, white table cloths give The Oar House a formal nuance while the rustic floors and ceilings balance out the ambiance with a more relaxed feel. The prices are on the high side but the food and service are impeccable! For appetizers, we had the large, button mushrooms filled with veal and seasoned with a lovely balance of rosemary and thyme in a creamy tomato sauce which was perfect for dipping our fresh garlic bread. We also shared the baby clams in a creamy sauce. I’m not much of a shellfish person, but the sauce on these was delicious! Each week, the chef at The Oar House, puts together a special menu that is ever changing so I ordered sole, garlic mashed potatoes and a perfectly cooked veg medley from among the few “Chef’s Choice” dishes. The fish was cooked to perfection! This came with a side salad which was fresh and delicious! Duane kept it simple with a bowl of lobster bisque and he described it as rich with multiple layers of flavor, the best he’s had, and a cross between lobster bisque and roasted pepper soup, which sang to him! This place is going to be one of our favorites! We were invited to return for lunch, as the menu is slightly different. Dress was business casual and price was about $50 per person including drink and appetizer. Menu posted below. The Ore House"

"Woww!! By far the best Greek restaurant weve visited.. the best food and overall the best experience!! we love the environment and loved the service by far the best! The server was awsome he sure does know how to make you feel welcome and makes sure your well attended thank you!! The Owner Emanuel we loved the chat with him he has pride in what he does.. "We waited a short time for a table because there was no urgency at the host booth. Our server was nice and friendly, but it wasn't the fastest. My first rollup had a hair in it. The second was rolled in a dirty leash. Spoke with the manager, and he got me a clean set so I could just eat. The appetizer Combo was 't the best since the skin was completely overcooked and dry, and it was just a shortage of appetizer in general and then a fly flew into the sauce and then simply cooled there on the plate. She asked if we were done, and we advised her that we didn't want to look at the fly and removed the plate. I hacked the Road Kill Steak, not knowing that it is now differently prepared than years ago. Fortunately, I got a real steak for dinner against a Hamburgerpatty. My friend even made the comment, why do you have such terrible luck? If the manager hadn't been on the ground, I'm not sure that any of my problems had been resolved as quickly as they were. If you spend money to eat after a nine-hour shift, mediocre food and service are not on my list. I haven't eaten in the roadhouse for years, and unfortunately I doubt I will ever return."
