Not like it used to be. Order yourself, pick up food yourself, clean your table, and take trash. I don't mind any of that, but they want you to leave a tip. For who? I did it all but cook. I believe cooks get paid better than waitresses, and food costs enough already. Good food.Only 1 nice employee. View all feedback.

It was not at all what I expected when I thought of eating at steak and shake. We were the only customers in the building the entire time we were there. There is no table service at this location. Everything is self serve. You order at the counter like you would at a fast food place. You make your drinks and have a sear while you wait on your food. Food was decent. Overpriced, but what isn't. Employees seem irritated about having to do their jobs.
Food was so fresh and so amazing. We drove out of the way to get here because there isn’t one in SC. So GOOD!! Thank
