What awniwake Hauso doesn't like about Gateway:
Spent $52 on 2 French dips that were the most disgusting food I've ate out there. Not to mention the onion rings were so burnt had to send them back to get new ones. The wings were phenomenal (garlic ones) service was good . Very disappointed after not being out there to eat in so long and it used to be excellent. View all feedback.
Great friendly staff and an excellent atmosphere. had to recharge my vexillar accus, and the bartender has put him in happy for me and charged all night.
We had our company's Christmas party there (over 25 people) and both the food and the service was excellent. Our first but not last time there.
I was recommended to come here and I’m glad I was. I enjoyed dinner very much and I would come back here anytime I’m in the area. Kiana was my server and she recommended a great meal. The deep-fried pickles were unique and the best I’ve ever had. Chicken fried steak was also very good and tater tots were perfect.
My family traveled from Nelson Creek to have lunch here. We had 7 adults, 3 toddlers, and 2 babies. We are the kind of group that over tips and are overly friendly. We walked in the doors and immediately received a dirty look from the manager. We wanted to add two extra chairs to our table so we could all sit there were only 4 other ppl in at this time). We were told we could not and were not offered any other options...so the three kids shared two chairs and a couple of the adults stood. I finally approached our waitress, who was the manager and when I said Ma'am to get her attention she responded with a snappy what' and an eye roll. I was giving her a chance to be polite. She had already made my entire family feel uncomfortable and unwelcome and I am not a person that just keeps my mouth shut when my family is being mistreated. I responded to her rude response with, when you have a moment can I get a water please and we are just her for a family dinner and we are being polite and respectful..we expect to get the same in return from you.She got a little better through our time there but only after I called her out. My brother-in-law was trying to make small talk with her to try to make her feel better and she just told him in an annoyed tone that she had been working 14 days in a row and no one wanted to work...we all felt for her but if you can't separate your problems from your customer service you need to not work in customer service I work in customer service so I understand how hard it can be)We understood they were short staffed and it did not bother us that we would possibly have to wait. The kitchen was quick and the food and drinks were delicious....but to be treated the way we were is absolutely unacceptable!!
Their sign asks for patience due to being short staffed. They have nothing to apologize for. The food was delicious. Staff great and splurge and have the dam cookie.
