This location is now operated by new owners. Amazing food. Staff is from the Saigon Flavor(50 Street) which has amazing food. I reccomend the Ginger Beef, War Wonton soup and salad rolls. Plus as always the Vietnamese Iced coffee!! View all feedback.
What Ferdinando Rossetti doesn't like about New Saigon:
Dine in for a late lunch, staff so sweet. I give one star just for that. Let's have a look the food, pho have good serving portion, taste is good, but not make you feel amazed. I think lots of MacEwan students eat here. However, after read some reviews I understand lots of people saying the pho is good but maybe a average good. The price is reasonable, 15.95 plus tax and tip for a pho not bad. The soup little bit swe... View all feedback.
Every time I come to Saigon Taste they never disappoint! Spring rolls had a crispy shell with a smooth but light filling. I always order the Curry Chicken Soup which is full of flavour and one of my favourite things on their menu. They recently have done some renovations and have a new drink menu, which I did not order today, but definitely excited to try. They are a family owned business and their customer service is always on point. Super welcoming, friendly and attentive. Always a 5/5!
If you're looking for an authentic and mouthwatering Vietnamese dining experience in Edmonton, look no further than Saigon Taste. Situated in the heart of the city, this gem of a restaurant has truly captured the essence of Vietnamese cuisine. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed with their delightful dishes and excellent service, so I'm more than happy to award a well deserved 5/5 stars. As I walked into Saigon Taste, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, accentuated by tasteful decor that subtly hinted at the culinary journey ahead. The friendly staff were attentive and made me feel right at home as they guided me through the extensive menu. I decided to try the Bun Bo Hue, a classic Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup. The presentation was impeccable, with a vibrant array of colors from the fresh vegetables, tender slices of beef, and rich broth. The first spoonful was a symphony of flavors the perfect balance of spicy, savory, and umami notes. Each ingredient was cooked to perfection, and the noodles were just the right texture, making for a truly satisfying meal. Not wanting to pass up on an opportunity to sample more of the menu, I also ordered the green onion cakes. These crispy, golden brown discs were an absolute delight. The onion flavor was pronounced yet not overpowering, and the flaky texture of the cakes was the perfect complement to the rich and hearty Bun Bo Hue. Throughout the meal, the service was attentive and thoughtful, with the staff regularly checking in to ensure my dining experience was enjoyable. The pacing of the meal was also spot on, as I never felt rushed, allowing me ample time to savor each bite. In conclusion, Saigon Taste in Edmonton has exceeded my expectations and has undoubtedly earned its place among my top dining recommendations. From the exquisite Bun Bo Hue to the irresistible green onion cakes, every dish I tried was exceptional. Paired with the warm atmosphere and outstanding service, Saigon Taste is a must visit destination for anyone craving a taste of authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
I was disappointed in this as the experience definitely didn 't live up to all the 5 star reviews. I went with two other persons for lunch. They ordered vermicelli bowls and I order the beef stir fry with spicy satay sauce. My stir fry was good, if a little lacking in flavor. But the fresh veggies were great. The people who got the vermicelli bowls weren 't very happy with them they said the meat had an unusual taste (and the meatballs were some sort of sausage) and the spring rolls were burnt. Maybe the pho here is great, but the dishes we ordered were definitely subpar compared to other vietnamese restaurants. The service was good though.
Just stopped by this Vietnamese saloon. Its a rainy October day, so I figured a hot dish was a no brainer. Its a small place downtown. Nice decor and pretty chill music. The service was great, despite there only being 1 server. Right to the point but didn't rush me out the door either. I will say, there didn't seem to be a lot of Pho options but I might be mistaken. The dish was delicious! The price was pretty standard. I will have to swing by again in the near future.
Amazing! THANK YOU for having fair prices, wonderful food, and appropriate portions! Not to mention the sweet service from the woman working the floor. Our new go to Vietnamese place! There is no way this place should have less than 5 stars.
