"We have been eating at The Smiddy for many years and are never disappointed, this week was no exception. We were made welcome and were very well looked after by Robert, as always, and Marie, and our meals were sublime, congratulations to Glen and his team! It was all so good the tasty carrot and ginger ‘amuse bouchée’; delicious starters of asparagus with poached egg, and goat’s cheese and beetroot terrine, with homemade bread; our perfect fillet steaks; and to die for pineapple and ginger puddings with lashings of caramel sauce and fab ice cream. The little melt in the mouth cheese and nut shortbreads which came with our drinks in the comfortable sitting room before our meal were delicious too! As always, a sublime dinner thanks so much, and looking forward to next time!"

"Don't bother going if you're looking for a nice Sunday lunch. To say the menu is limited is an understatement. The vegetarian option was nonexistent. It's a shame because it is a beautiful place in a gloorious setting. I would have loved to sit and eat looking out over the loch. Service: 3 Location: 5"

"Opens at 7am so perfect spot for a good full English breakfast if you want to start walking by 8am. Nice food, fast service and only approx 4 minute drive from there to the Ben Nevis visitor centre where you can begin your walk. We parked in the nearby Morrisons car park which is a 1 minute walk from the cafe and you get up to 3 hours parking for free. Overall 5 star experience!! "Interesting small museum in the railway station building. each enter £ 1. it includes the history of the highland railway line and the glenfinnan viaduct. it would probably be a great place to see the jacobite steam train going through. check the timetable for time. there is a caffe behind the station for drinks and snacks. and a snowplow turned into an ice-laden! they can not miss it, it is black and yellow lacquered!"

"Ok, British and Scottish cuisine are not known for being particularly healthy, but eating was also quite fast and sweetly prepared. There was a vegan burger or pommes or two vegetarian little things that could be made vegan or just the “Salat” with vegan fillet I had. The salad consisted of a handful of green leaves, many onions and three cherry tomatoes. Then a bunch of the finished panned fillet and a dressing, which was more a sticky, viscous chilli sauce. Taste 3, quantity 5 Who is to be fed by such a minisalate, although he is praised as Main Dish? Too much too expensive to do with just 11£"
