You can use the WLAN of the place at no extra cost, And into the accessible rooms also come visitors with wheelchairs or physiological limitations. If the weather are right, you can also be served outside.

Shocker the Crannog restaurant is not on or by the Loch. The meal was good but very pricey ... (expect to pay circa £50 per head for 2 courses) and the service was standard, not great. "We have been eating at The Smiddy for many years and are never disappointed, this week was no exception. We were made welcome and were very well looked after by Robert, as always, and Marie, and our meals were sublime, congratulations to Glen and his team! It was all so good the tasty carrot and ginger ‘amuse bouchée’; delicious starters of asparagus with poached egg, and goat’s cheese and beetroot terrine, with homemade bread; our perfect fillet steaks; and to die for pineapple and ginger puddings with lashings of caramel sauce and fab ice cream. The little melt in the mouth cheese and nut shortbreads which came with our drinks in the comfortable sitting room before our meal were delicious too! As always, a sublime dinner thanks so much, and looking forward to next time!"

"A group of 8 of us went in before we got on the Harry Potter Jacobite steam train dressed in cosplay. They took orders of some of us but refused to acknowledge and take the orders for the last two of us, no idea why. After the first four got served they asked nicely the two older women if we could get our order in and get served because we were all together and going on the train. Still they refused to acknowledge the two of us,(except for nasty stares/stink eye) take our order or serve us. But they did take the order of the next 10 or so people after us while continuing to act like we didn't exist. This was very unprofessional, uncalled for and just plain cruel and mean. In case it was an accident (which I severely doubt it because while dressed in cosplay we really stand out in a crowd) it was very politely called to their attention, and yet they still avoided correcting their mistake/acknowledging us/taking a food order/conducting a business transaction in a place of business and continued carrying out refusal of any interaction except for the nasty stares. I cried a lot and went to the lobby area and the nice lady in the gift shop was a very nice, had muffins and coffee and she took my order and fed me. No problems with anyone else in the town of Fort William serving us in Harry Potter cosplay, or on the Jacobite steam train, or in Malaig. Every business we went to,except for Lochaber Cafe, was more than welcoming and very pleased that we stopped in. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"
