What User likes about Taco Cabana:
Yesterday by drive to dinner. I must say this site has been hit in the past or miss food, and service was even worse with only ugly, rude staff. I haven't been here for six months. Last night was different. The food was excellent, as well as the service. Very pleasant both on the speaker and on the window. Not sure what has changed in the last six months, but it was grateful. I ordered the new pizza. Smaller pizza th... View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about Taco Cabana:
Bad customer service, bad attitudes including management, two wrong orders and no apologies, no eye contact or direct communication when trying to get things addressed. Who is in charge of staffing here? This is an issue.UPDATE: I did contact customer service to explain the details of what occurred. I received a call back from senior management (Mayra). She was great. She expressed concern and showed that she cared.... View all feedback.

"[Edit] Over a year later and I love this place even more if that 's possible). I 've seen 4 seasonal menus and the food maintains its wonderful awesome delicious ness. The staff and volunteers are ever so gracious and have a heart for God. If you have a couple of hours consider volunteering, or come by and have lunch, bring a friend or 2 and 'taste and see the Lord is good ... ' Feb. 14, 2018: I really am in love with this place, it 's volunteers and customers. The first thing you notice is the welcome you get as you come through the door, like being welcomed into someone 's home. Then the look of the space, open beams, lots of exposed brick and blond wood, light and airy. Gorgeous! The wait staff are all volunteer and are more than happy to explain the menu to you and guide you on this culinary journey. Chef Jeff and his staff have been busy making house made buns, bacon, pickles and more that make this a marvelous dining experience. My 1st go I had the Southern Shrimp and Grits, so good, stone ground cheese grits topped with sautéed shrimp in a melange of savory peppers and bacon. Chef and his crew grind fresh sirloin for the chili, delish! Portions are large for some, just right for most, no skimping here! Food is so good, concept is so amazing that I now volunteer here regularly. The concept: Chef Jeff and wife Julie are on a mission: 'Our mission is to feed, educate and serve our community so that they may '...taste and see the Lord is good. ' Psalm 34:8 ' Their customers can do one of the following: 1) pay what you can afford. 2) pay what you would typically pay at a comparable restaurant) or 3) pay what you would typically pay plus a little extra for those who are unable to pay much) Such a beautiful and rewarding experience. Open during lunch 11a 2p Tuesday through Sunday, for now. Please make a reservation if you have time constraints and let the hostess know. The diners are seated with a 'paced method ' so as not to overwhelm the volunteer wait staff, but any wait is well worth it! Things to try, drinks: pour over coffee or the lemonade; small plates: bruschetta, Farro salad more); mains: apple bacon sammy, crispy taters, burger, shrimp n grits and the chili. Share a dessert or not), decadent! Yes, I love this place!"

"I shouldn’t have, but I did! I was minding my own business when I saw this pie shop. I just had to pop in and buy a couple- key line pecan. Key lime was pretty good, and tangy. Pecan was average. Each small pie is $6. I was t wowed to a 5-star because the pecan’s pie flavor seemed a little lacking, maybe it just the right day for the pecan. I have told many people to pop over. Hope they do. Cute store and friendly staff!"

"We're so sorry the Trio has closed. It was a wonderful local restaurant. I understand the chef is moving to a new restaurant, the Worthington in Sundance Square, called Toro Toro. It was a little noisier Saturday night because it was their last evening open. Our food was delicious as usual and the wait staff excellent. Will definitely try the new restaurant at the Worthington. I had blackened red fish with Pontchartrain sauce on grits. My friend had the Alaskan halibut with smoky mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. For a starter I had a poke bowl with Ahi Tuna. I was so full from the salad, I had to take most of my entrée home. We will definitely miss this restaurant"
