Tortilleria La Nueva-zacatecas from Fort Worth Menu

What User doesn't like about Tortilleria La Nueva-zacatecas:
these are not nixtamal tortillas, the tortillas they sell are made with maseca. the food sold by the pound is given to them in small styrofoam cups that are so flimsy that at the time they come out the door everything collapses. the stews (gitasos) are very spicy, even for those who like spicy eating. they use too much cumin, and there is no balance of aromen. the flesh is hard and also has a lot of fat and gristle.... read more.

Look forward to the diverse, fine Mexican cuisine, traditionally prepared with corn, beans and chilies (hot peppers), The barbecued food is freshly prepared here on an open flame. If you decide to come for breakfast, you are offered a hearty brunch.

"I absolutely love this place. I really wish we had something like this back in Utah. I wish every state in our country had a place like this. We have 6 kids and sometimes eating out is very challenging financially. This is the perfect place and atmosphere. When you can afford to pay more you should, and when you can’t afford to pay as much you don’t have to. I hope that everyone that can pay more or at least full price do so that places like this can keep go. The owner and co-owner are absolutely amazing humans and their volunteer are amazing. They are 10 times nicer and better than normal waiters and waitresses at most restaurants that get paid and you would leave a tip for. I’ve never seen anything like it. This shows that their still good and amazing people in a world that doesn’t have much of that anymore and where we see “men’s” hearts failing every day. Thank you so much for what your doing."
