We came intending on dtaying for a big German breakfast. At almost 11am, the caffe had many guests both seated outdoors and inside.Unfortunately they do not have a real kitchen. But still offer a limited breakfast, which including fresh juice, toast, panini, muesli etc was good for filling the hungriest appetite.Whilst a small menu selection may be considered bad, in this case it is good. the caffe is located in a beautiful sunny place in the bergerstrasse. during the weekend is very busy. on Saturday the service is good, but on Sunday, when it is busy, the waiters are completely confused and lost. this is really annoying and a pity for...a nice caffe with excellent carrot cake View all feedback.

good coffee, beautiful ambiente, clean, modern and pleasant. the service was lightly sloppy, but ok. if it is not crowded, great to read or work

"Am 11.11. waren wir zu wiederholten Mal im La Cigale. Das wunderbare Gänsemenü des Vorjahres war uns noch in sehr guter Erinnerung. In diesem Jahr stand wundersamer Weise ein Enten-Menu auf der Karte. Das Zweigängige Gänse-Essen wurde auf einer Wandtafel für 44.00 € angeboten. Dabei handelte es sich im Esten Gang um einen Teil der vorbestellen Gans mit Rosenkohl und einer Scheibe Serviettenknödel und im zweiten, einem anderen Teil des Tieres, mit Rotkraut und Klößen. Also eine Kombination, die man in jedem besseren Restaurant ohnehin "Gänge-frei" serviert bekommt. Das Gänsefleisch war köstlich und zart, weniger köstlich die versalzene knusprige Haut. Die Raffinesse der einzelnen Speisen des letzten Jahres war ersetzt durch gehobene Hausmannskost. Eine zur Gans passende Vorspeise war auf der Karte nicht zu finden. "Dann sollen s'e doch die Suppe vom Enten-Menü essen" hörten wir die beiden Service-Damen hinter ihrem Tresen sagen. Die Qualität des Weines war gut, allerdings saßen wir lange vor leeren Gläsern, was außer uns niemanden störte. Die Damen waren genug mit sich selbst und ihren Handys beschäftigt. Zum abschließenden Espresso wurde immerhin Zucker gereicht. Übrigens: sollten Sie, wie wir, die ersten Gäste des Abends sein und bemerken, dass es etwas kühl im Raum ist, wird der "Service" Sie mit der Feststellung erwärmen, dass sich das mit zunehmender Anzahl der Gäste ändert."
