Sofia Frankston - Frankston East

Booked a table outside for a birthday lunch will never go back. It was not busy the wait staff especially the male waiter seemed to have no interest in serving anyone strolled around on a complete go slow oblivious to customers at tables around him waiting to be served. When we did finally get his attention to order some drinks he got the order wrong left my elderly mother in law sitting in the sun with no drink not even any water on the table. It was a very hot day one half of the table of ten was completely in the sun. When we asked if we could have the umbrella moved slightly so the table was out of the sun we were told “no sorry we can’t move the umbrellas” but no offer to move the table or of another table even though there were plenty of large shaded tables available nearby. When booking we requested a high chair which wasn’t provided but was brought over just as the meals came out after having to ask for it twice. Most of the food was average at best. The seafood pasta garlic pizza was nice, parmas were greasy the chicken burger was sloppy. The kids fish was chewy way over cooked. The biggest issue was the flock of pigeons walking around (inside outside) scavenging from the tables whilst people were eating. Whilst eating we had several birds walking under the table across our feet which terrified disgusted us. Then the ladies on the table beside us left another few birds were on the table picking at their leftovers whilst wait staff stood nearby chatting. That was enough for us so we all got up left after paying of course) We had brought a birthday cake with us but took it home as we didn’t want to stay there for even another minute. It was so disappointing to experience all of this as we have been coming here for years with our extended family have always been happy with the service, food quality atmosphere. This restaurant was one of the best family eateries on the Peninsula now it’s one of the worst if not the worst.

This café is fantastic. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. We ordered a large BBQ chicken pizza, which was enough to feed two people.

Burger was amazing, they have to say that there was a friendly little deaf around wondering around. I don't know how I feel about this haha. a pretty good place to eat out!

In comparison to its former glory runs a bit down. Eating is acceptable, but not fantastic. the personal is still friendly and helpful, which is beautiful. wants to see a bit more flair in the aromen, but I guess they have to meet everyone.

The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I had no complaints at all. The cocktails were also excellent. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. An added bonus was the short wait time to be seated. Overall, I highly recommend Sofias.
