"We asked the waitress for suggestions on the various types beef and she was not able to explain them to us. She just pointed (on the back of the menu) the positions of the cuts. Then we asked for the best meat they have, she...left to ask someone (maybe the kitchen chef) and when she come back she suggested to take the porterhouse gr) without explaining that this is a special dry aged beef. We did not like this special kind of meat at all, we are not expert of it, so we cannot judge the quality. When the steak arrived, we have been surrounded by flies since the rubbish bin was not so far away. We ordered a bottle of chianti classico that was very nice, however the price of the bottle is not in the menu. After paying the bill we asked to speak with the kitchen chef who was very friendly and explained us the type of meat we had. It could have been a perfect dinner if he explained it when we ordered the steak. The restaurant is cozy and the staff is friendly but it is not located in a nice street (we had dinner outside). I think that the high prices cannot just reflect the quality of the meat but also the service and the location. At the end we came up with a bill of for a steak (that we did not like) a superb wine and a bottle of water. The dinner was definitely not worth the money! For the price there are plenty of better options in Karlsruhe"

"We had breakfast on Sunday and were surprised. what was made of this old big mud (so called the local ones earlier!) compliment, everything very generous and bright, no loud, disturbing music more and the offer can be seen more than. the quality of eating and drinking (except wein) was good. a detailed indication in the map would be suitable for weaving. the lapidare name wein is really too lean. the served riesling was not really the renner and for us also not recognizable as such. Also worth mentioning is the service that was present at our visit, friendly, attentive, but not disturbing. through the location at the gutenbergplatz there is also the possibility to enjoy the offers before the local, outdoors. it is recommended to reserve."
