If you are waiting for a ferry or whale watching tour your must stop here for lunch. Make a reservation if you can. The food here was absolutely delicious! I had a spinach salad with homemade dressing and it was one of the best salads of my entire trip. The kale salad and fish cakes were also fantastic! I had the fish and chips (sub salad) to go and the meal was good! BUT I don't know if it was because I was getting take out - I found the owner (I think) to be a bit rude. No smile no greeting and avoided eye contact. Weird...won't be returning. View all feedback.
Of all the meals I had during our week road trip along Nova Scotia's Bay of Fundy, this was my favourite, and my favourite of the seafood dinners I had.
My family and I have been coming to Lavena's for nearly 20 years--since the very first summer they opened.
