"Had the blueberry waffles. They were great. Tried to order a Virgin Daiquiri and asked what flavors were available, and our waitress just said ok and walked away. I caked her back and asked for a virgin piña colada , but my daughter never gave a flavor. When I called her back over again, I asked what flavor she had for my daughter, and she stated, A virgin Daiquiri. I again said, What flavor? Mine 's piña colada, what 's hers? She said, a virgin Daiquiri. So we finally just made it 2 piña colada flavors. She clearly wasn 't going to give us options."

"Very casual place with a cozy feel. Tables are a little too smushed together for my liking but the service was good. I had the endless shrimp which were awesome. The margaritas are good size and flavor/strength and only $3 during Happy hour. Overall a good price for your money worth."

"Good food and service but one major problem we encountered. My wife had purchased a coupon for $15 to get $30 in food. We were told they no longer accept those and the owner would not honor it. We were told to see if we could get our money back from the issuer. My feeling is a good restaurant owner would have honored the coupon and gone after the issuer. The food was good but we left with a very bad taste in our mouths."

"We have eaten at La Casona several times and have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. It's a great place to take the whole family, meet with friends, or just go by yourself. 4 stars is the best I can do just because I've never been blown away by the food or the service. It's good, but there's not.much that sets it apart from any other Mexican restaurant. Either way, highly recommend."

"This is one of the best beach restaurants in Surfside! We had fantastic service. Our lunch was perfection! The food was excellent. Huge portions, I needed a 'to-go ' box. The view amazing. The breeze from the Gulf was fabulous. This is our new go-to restaurant, especially when our family and friends come to visit us at the beach. 10 stars."
