"Rang well in advance to book a table for 8 on a Monday night and was told they can’t take the booking because it puts to much pressure on the staff to handle a group of this size ? They could take 6 . Really...? I presume if we booked 2 tables of 4 that would be ok . Weird … they are still serving 8 people regardless of where they sit . Funny attitudes from restaurants these days . You would think they would be happy with the custom . Perhaps they are going so well they don’t need our patronage . Oh well … somewhere else … sure they will welcome us ."

"This is what I call a 'treasure place ' Family owned café, we were served by the owner herself, on essex street! Decor was beautiful- little eccentric with well thought details which is always better- and she told us a little bit about the building 's history.<br/>We took two flat whites, oh my very good, then we split a homemade veggie pastry and a veggie frittata! Savory and delicious. <br/>We loved the cozy feeling- you could hear the dishes cling, people chattering and the staff laughing"
