We couldn’t take pictures of our food because we ate it so fast and it was SO GOOD. The service was on point 100/10. We’ve officially found our new favorite Thai food place and we’ve tried pretty much all of them in Fresno. This is the BEST. What Doug L doesn't like about Gem Of Thailand:
A few of us from the office go here for lunch periodically. Uniformly, the comment is it 's not bad. It satisfies our hunger pains but the restaurant doesn 't necessarily wow us. The service is always good. The servers are very courteous. But it 's just good, not great. View all feedback.

My favorite Thai. Some things have changed: the little sterno, BBQ fire pot does not come out with the chicken satay and the sweet owner who always wore a traditional dress was not there hosting or taking orders. The food was still BEAUTIFUL and tasted light, clean DO TASTY. We ordered the Mango Salad, shrimp Pad Thai Chicken Pad Thai extra sprouts: each pad thai tasted TOTALLY different than the other. The shrimp leaned to savory the chicken more touch of sweet with a light bite of spice...PERFECTION. The chicken satay is ALWAYS cooked perfectly paired up with the peanut sauce cucumber thai chili salad. It is still served with the slice of toast.... just missing that BBQ pot.
This had been our absolute favorite Thai restaurant in Fresno and Gem, who used to be the owner was an absolute sweetheart and was always very attentive to her guests. I'm a bit late writing this review, as it has been about 5 months since our last experience of having food from here. My cousin and his girlfriend were coming to visit from out of town and wanted to treat us to dinner and pick it up before arriving. Once we all decided on This food, it was without hesitation that we recommended them ordering our dinner from Gem or Thailand. I'm not sure what's happened, but it's very clear that Gem must have retired and is no longer there because honestly, it was the worst Thai food that any of us have ever had. I could detail everything that we ordered, but honestly prefer not to. I will share that the 4 different menu items that they ordered for us were all, unfortunately, below sub standard. I felt so bad about making the recommendation to my cousin and all of the money that he spent on a sub standard dinner.

Pretty cool local joint. Looks a little dated. They work in a team. It appears to be a family own business. They make up the food experience. The food was great very hot cooked to order. I enjoyed the Panang Chicken. They had no problem substituting fried rice which is awesome for an additional charge. I enjoyed both.
