Sehr gute Steirische Küche, das Gasthaus ist meistens sehr gut besucht daher sind oft wenige Parkplätze zur Mittagszeit frei.

"We felt comfortable in “Old Dutch” from the outset. The furniture made of light-colored wood and the walls covered with photographs and other memorabilia of sports clubs provide a cozy atmosphere in the first room. The bar scene here is brilliant. “Old Dutch” is by...its own definition a snack bar. In fact, the dishes on offer go beyond simple snacks. The mainstay of the menu are burgers of very creative and most diverse kinds, but it also comprises grilled meat, salads and soups. This orientation of the cuisine along with the appearance of “Old Dutch” made us feel like in a saloon of the Wild West, albeit with a Styrian flavor. At any rate, this is almost a full-blown restaurant and nobody will leave it hungry even if one needs more than just a little snack. Food was good, plentiful, quite nicely arranged and, on top of that, inexpensive. For two main courses and two beverages we paid less than euros! The waitress was friendly even though we kept her busy with a few special wishes. Thus, “Old Dutch” seems worth a visit regardless of whether you would like to eat or just have a drink."

"Although this restaurant is named “Pizzeria Trattoria San Marco” it is not a genuine Italian restaurant, i.e. a restaurant run by native Italians. Actually, its proprietors originate from the Balkans as can be gathered from the restaurant's website. But this should not make any difference provided the kitchen staff is really familiar with Italian cuisine. The focus of the menu is on pasta and pizza, not on more exceptional Italian dishes, let alone the cuisine of certain Italian regions. When I arrived there for a very late lunch on a rainy working day I was surprised for two reasons. First, while the pedestrian precinct where “San Marco” is situated was deserted, the restaurant was half full. This place seems to be popular among locals. Second, seeing its plain outside one would not expect such a large and cozy restaurant. The interior is rustic, features some bare brick walls and large wooden girders. The furniture is also made of wood. From the first moment I felt comfortable there. But this comfort was somewhat spoiled later when the separation of the smokers and the non-smokers areas turned out to be insufficient. Dependent on whether the entrance and/or the back door were open the smell and smoke of cigarettes was sucked from time to time into the non-smokers area. Since it was already late for having lunch I chose a pizza in the hope that it would be prepared rapidly. Indeed, a sizeable pizza was served after only a fairly short waiting time. Service was swift, but indifferent and not particularly friendly. My mild and polite criticism at the end that the pizza, although on the whole quite good, suffered from too much salt in its dough (or at least in parts of it) was simply ignored by the waiter. Prices were quite low in view of the nice ambiance. All in all, a restaurant of mainstream Italian cuisine whose principal attraction, however, seems to be its marvelous décor."

"Ich hatte wirklich nicht erwartet das sich ein Lokal so schnell negativ entwickeln kann.Auf der Speisekarte stehen nicht alle Gerichte, aber es gibt eh nur Schwein und vegetarisch, auch wenn auf der Rückseite für Anderes geworben wird. Kein Geflügel, kein Fisch...Personal bei voller Auslastung total überlastet und kopflos.Wirklich schade, das hatte ich besser in Erinnerung. Vielleicht erholt sich der Laden wieder, aber ich habe wenig Hoffnung..."
