What Frederico Fonseca likes about A Romana:
The restaurant might not look great from outside, salads/deserts are not perfect, but the fish I ate was INCREDIBLE!!! It was Madeira-style regional espada (black scabbardfish) served in sauce with Madeiran wine and onion. And it is really cheap: appetizer (I would recommend shrimps or seafood soup) main dish desert 10 €. View all feedback.

What Flávio Correia doesn't like about A Romana:
Poor service the starter took 40 mins to arrive despite only 6 people in the restaurant. Asked the waitress what soup she would recommend and she said kale. After 40 minutes I was served leek and potato. No explanation why. My wife ordered a tuna pizza. When it was served it was badly overcooked and like cardboard. No apology or offer to change despite our complaint. View all feedback.
