Had espetada for dinner. Not so many guests this evening. Service was good, meat was excellent. Tender and perfectly cooked. Tasty as well. Did also get a really good wine with the meal. Recommend this place. View all feedback.

we chose the lunch three cure menu for 9,50 euro as we were past after visiting the market near. as others have said service was not great and kohl was certainly a hghlight of the menu. I had a cabbage soup that was in order and. my partner tomatensuppe was quite watery. thunfisch main course was not hot, as served and came with a lot of dressed salat, rice, butter beans, boiled kartoffels, boiled mais on the charcoa... Great spot on the corner of Rua de Santa Maria and Rua dos Barreiros for people watching and watching cars come down the narrow cobblestone street. I stopped here for lunch and had their EUR 12,50 lunch menu which came with a starter soup, choice of protein (mostly fish options and pork chops) and plenty of sides (squash, rice, chick peas, pineapple, olives and cabbage). The food was tasty, and more importantly, the service was great. The gentleman who served me was friendly and attentive to me and my dining neighbours. When I went to use the toilet another staff member from the back of house made sure I found the light switch. The meal was completed with a small shot of Madeira wine. Overall I recommend for the good service and great value for money, especially in the middle of a very tourist heavy area. I left very full and satisfied.
A very atmospheric place with OK quality fresh food at sensible price. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but there is only one person serving all customers (12 tables), so it takes reeeeaaally long to get the orders (40 mins or so). Once the food is served, it looks and tastes good. Portions are generous. I enjoyed my seafood soup and found it filling.
Decent food for a good price noting spectacular. Staff is nice. If you got more then 30 euro to spent with 2 persons go somewhere els.
