We discovered the Portaliano restaurant whilst out walking one evening, and what a find. We didn't book but we were quickly offered a table for 2, despite it being very busy Service was quick, polite and efficient The menu is not huge but covers all tastes. What António Marques doesn't like about Martins & Capelinha Lda:
At Portaliano the food was cooked adequately. But the fusion flavours were mixed in bad ways that did not work. E.g.the gyoza with smoked sausage and jam. Other dishes like the meatballs in white sauce with raisins and nuts ! were bland and tasteless. The chef really needs to rethink the combinations. The pizza was okay but a little boring. read more.
