Would not normally eat Greek food in Portugal but decided to give it a try. Good decision as the food was tasty and well presented. Had a hot mezze between us for a starter then chicken kebab and Moussaka with a pleasant bottle of red. Just right amount of food and very reasonable price View all feedback.

We tried to go to this restaurant a few times but there didnt seem to be anyone in so we were unsure. Tried another night (Monday) but it was closed so before Mondays in this area as a lot close that day. We did manage to eat there on our try but as disappointed. Follow You will find this restaurant over a few articles online under an Irish bar hidden by the casino in Funchal. Don't get away from the location, it is a beautifully presented restaurant with good food and staff. We had hummus and falafel for our beginners who were great. I'm pretty picky when it comes to these two and they were great. Falafel was fresh and crispy, humus obviously made home. For the main course, grilled eggplant and grilled halloumi served both on a bed of tomatoes. It also included a salad and rice. Helloumi was served with a pesto dressing and could have been a bit of Craspier I am just picky. We both left the feeling very satisfied and a reasonable bill
In vacation recently in madeira and my wife and I went twice to istanbul. both of us had a fantastic meal, grilling meat, fish and seafood was excellent and if they were lucky, they can see that everything was happening before them. the personal was really friendly and helped with need. I would recommend the restaurant throughout.
Go for the set meal including either fish or meat kebab, you will not be disappointed. Starter of mixed mezze excellent but filling. Lovely atmosphere staff, we visit every time we are in Funchal
On holiday recently in Madeira and my wife and I went twice to the Istanbul. Both times we had a fantastic meal, the grilling of the meat, fish and seafood was superb and if you are lucky you can see it all happening in front of you. The staff were really friendly and helped if needed. I would throughly recommend the restaurant.
We decided to go out at the last minute so called in at this small restaurant. What a find. Welcoming staff and a varied and very tasty menu. Food was well cooked and portions were just right. Recommend the borek and the mixed grill. A bottle of excellent rose wine completed the evening. Will definitely be returning
