Its a pub that sells Guinness, thats the only Irish connection. Only visited in daytime when it was quiet though pleasant. Drinks were overpriced but service was good. View all feedback.
I was in here last Friday night . Just came across the place by chance . Drinks after dinner with my wife and son . Really nice barman . You always feel a bit dodgy about Guinness outside Ireland. Nothing to worry about here. Very , very smooth. If the barman drinks it on his off nights then its good enough for me. I'd go back here no problem when I'm back in town again.
Before having dinner at a nearby restaurant, we visited this pub for a pre-dinner drink. Unfortunately, they were unable to make us a poncha (rum punch) so my wife had a white wine while I had one of the several beers on tap (Carlsburg). The bartender was pleasant enough, but we decided one drink was enough and moved on.
Found this place to watch the Six Nations Rugby, and good service from friendly staff, bar pleasantly busy with Canadians, Americans, English, French and Irish all watching the France v Ireland game. prices very reasonable and topped up with crisps throughout whilst watching the game
Visiting Madeira from Canada, we popped by popular local Irish bar before reservations we had elsewhere. Edgar (Eddie) made us immediately feel at home. The vibe was super fun and chill, incredible drinks that were reasonably price. The night turned into the best music, the best sing along with a large group of people from all over the world. If you’re considering whether to visit here, don’t, just come. You’ll be happy you did.
