Alpin brings a little bit of Europe to Gainesville. It was a bit busy, so we ate outside. They have a small kitchen, so we went in knowing it may take a little bit for our food. The balsamic brie was a lovely savory app, and the croque madame tasted wonderful. They did forget the egg on the croque, but were quick to bring some out BEFORE we mentioned it was missing. What Michael H doesn't like about Alpin Bistro:
The service at this restaurant is awful. They closed at 10:45 on game day even though their closing time is supposed to be 11 PM. The hostess has been making rude French impressions in the past. They should definitely bring back Nester. View all feedback.
We came for Saturday brunch. The restaurant was fairly full but we did not wait for an inside table. We started with the apricot mimosas and omega soft boil egg. Then had the bacon quiche and la Norvegienne. The food was well prepared and attention was given where needed, ie flaky crust, salmon portion, creamy yolk of soft boil, and great acidic vinaigrette on kale side salad. The atmosphere is very much like a busy street corner of France but not so loud you cannot talk at your table. A very good brunch and time will spent.
Super friendly staff and the food is absolutely AMAZING. I got the salmon quiche and it was the best quiche I have ever had! I will 100% be back!
Exceptionally high quality food. Really wonderful addition to Gainesville.
One of the best restaurants Gainesville has to offer, and the only French one. Consistently great and high quality food. I’m addicted to the quiche. Highly recommend!
Thanks for this little escape in France, everything was delicious !
