What User doesn't like about The Social At Midtown:
The atmosphere is great, as is the selection of beers. The food, though, can be cold on arrival (mashed potatoes) and bland (potatoes, rice, taco Mac, broccoli). I did ask for salt and pepper when dining in to make it more palatable. Also, I’ve ordered had broccoli as a side and discovered rice with it why? There were some clumps beneath the broccoli. Very attentive staff. Great food, a lot of great choices. Flatbreads are great; add bacon. Mojo pork tacos excellent, the plantains in it are an awesome touch.You can never go wrong with the Tuscan sandwich. Thursday lunch special, blackened chicken pasta is a must. Lots of drink specials. Check out the roof bar, they often have entertainment, but it is under promoted.
This is a really nice place right across from the University of Florida main drag. Very sharp menu, some unbelievable deals on here, my fave being a 14.95 filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus in butter. That's truly crazy, and really good! They have lots of different kinds of items like this, and a beer and drink menu comparable to any on University so far as I can see (except maybe a beer emporium type place). All in all a fun social/sports bar with a great staff.
Social has the best food in midtown as well as a large selection of delicious craft beers! I would recommend this place because unlike most midtown bars you won't be cramped into a tiny area and bumped around all night, also the quality of the alcoholic beverages at social far surpasses any bar in midtown!
The Social is the perfect place to hang with friends. Whether you're chilling upstairs grabbing a drink or eating downstairs. I don't think you will be disappointed. My server Shayna was so sweet and efficient. She made my whole experience a 5/5. I had the buffalo mac and chz and it was AMAZING.
The Social is definitely one of the best spots in midtown!!! Their drink menu is amazing, and it's the best spot for game days!
