"Was in town for the night and looking to try the local cuisine, so I ventured to the Galax Smokehouse because bbq sounded good that evening and it was a little late in the evening. I asked the waitress what she recommended and she suggested the ribs. Soooo, ribs it was! A half a rack (6) of tender, meaty ribs and your choice of 4 bbq sauces. I ordered baked beans and a side salad with that as well. For dessert was a YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE DISAPPOINTED, VERY TASTY, AWARD WINNING BANANA PUDDING! The baked beans had pork in them but lacked flavor as I would expect them to have, but the ribs were deliciously tender and that is why I was there. Very good. I did order a cup of Brunswick stew to sample but apparently that was overlooked but it was removed from the bill. No problem. The service was prompt and polite. I would return here and I'd recommend the bbq here too!"
