Good food, service and location with fair prices and large selection of available dishes to try. You always get additional chilli next to your food if you want more heat. Cocktails are good aswell.

We have ordered jaffle and it was a really small portion, can t recommend this place

Taste and quality below average...overprice compare with the quality of food...I gave 2 star because it has no tax...Anyway this place has the most expensive fried potato chips I ever had 550 SL or about $5 same price like a cheap burger they served ..not sure if the chips is scam or not..

The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant. The service is excellent. The waiter, Malinga, was very helpful. The owner, Chalindu, is also very accommodating.

Hot Rock is the perfect place to relax on the beach. It is affordable and convenient for parents. During our stay in Unawatuna, we found Hot Rock to have the most beautiful setting, making it easy to spend the whole day cooling off on the beach. In our opinion, it is the best spot because of its prime location right on the beach. We especially enjoyed the abundance of shady trees, which are a rare sight compared to other beach locations. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, and even though they only accept cash payments, it wasn't an issue for us as we spent only 10,000 rupees for the entire day. The seating area is strategically placed near the water, allowing us to keep an eye on our children playing in the sea while we relax. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to return the next day to settle our bill when we only had a card on hand. Overall, Hot Rock may not be a luxurious 5-star restaurant, but it offers a comfortable and enjoyable beach dining experience. The tables and chairs are set up on the sand, so expect a bit of sand on your tableware. Some criticisms of the restaurant may be unwarranted, as we had a delightful experience there.
