I have visited Il Forno again almost one year later while visiting my daughter. She, as a student in Uppsala, goes out to dinner mostly at nations, so I thought a nice Italian dinner would cher her up a bit. It was super nice to be here again and meet the fantastic people working there. We had a 3 course menu with the Guancetta instead of the beef, and on the waiter's suggestion (the oldest one working in the service... View all feedback.
What John Alhelm doesn't like about Il Forno Italiano:
Awful and arrogant service. Poor quality food. Outrageously overpriced. Won't recommend to anyone, unless you'd like the rude Italian accent waiter to ruin your mood for the whole night! In fact, this is the worst restaurant experience I have had in the whole world. Entirely unorganized incredibly mess business. And the food is so surprisingly bad, whereas the prices are outrageously high! View all feedback.
Second visit two years later while travelling to Sweden. Great experience like last time. Despite being quite busy, the staff carefully looked after us. Pizza was nice and crunchy with a thin dough and tasty toppings. The meat was cooked perfectly. Juicy and tasty. To finish, we had one of the best tiramisu ever. Safe spot
Delicious Italian pizza, located near the church and by the street, the outside tables are not very cozy and quiet but really great. The staff are friendly and warm, the prices here are above average. Overall I highly recommend this place for those who are craving for great Italian pizza.
A lovely atmospheric place in the university quarter above the cathedral. Lovely, welcoming and attentive service and a wide menu including Italian classics as well as the more standard pizzas. All of the food was good and tasty. The cheapest wine was a cabernet sauvignon for about 600 SEK average for Uppsala. There is outdoor seating as well as a lovely inside.
The food here was amazing and everyone enjoyed their food. I had their mushroom risotto and it was absolutely amazing. However, the waitress responsible for our table was not so pleasant. The service given by the other serving staff was amazing. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the poor service of the first waitress. Would recommend!
While walking through the town we thought we would try a local spot that had good reviews. The place is located conveniently and seating was plentiful during the late lunch hour. We were quickly served water and mini bread pieces with olive oil which was tasty. My wife ordered the Ceasar salad with chicken and I ordered Casareccia Con Funghi pizza. The food came out fairly quick probably less than 10 minutes. If you like mushrooms, the pizza I ordered was delicious. Such a big pizza which I could not finish alone. My wife’s salad was not so good. The chicken seems not fresh, perhaps frozen or over cooked and the salad was over dressed with the dressing. Overall ok experience, probably will not order the Ceasar salad with chicken again.
