A structure for hospitality and catering located in the historical center of Gangi, a charming and magnetic medieval village in Sicily inside the mountains of the Madonie . "Giardino Donna Lavia might actually be THE BEST restaurant I've event been to. It's not laboratory cooking nor it includes some rare, ultra-expensive ingredients. It’s simple meat, vegetables and pasta. But the tastes and flavours are absolutely amazing! We took meat menu for 25€ per person, but the feast we got was worth much, much more! Appetizers: melon with prosciutto, caponata, sweet onions, artichokes, mushrooms, sausages, fresh ricotta, mozzarella with tomatoes, grilled hard ricotta. Primo piato: 2 types of home made pasta, one with mushrooms and the other with minced lamb meet; Secondo piato: I think we had 3 different types of meet and sweets for the end (canoli, panna cotta and one more type). All food is home made and home grown. I have no words to describe it. Portions were huge, impossible to eat it all. Luigi, the owner was so pleasant and nice, made us feel very welcomed. If you are in the Madonie area, make sure to visit this magnificent restaurant!"

"The room itself, elegant and refined, relates the calm and tranquility typical of a restaurant of high quality to the possibility of having excellent dishes prepared with high quality ingredients with care and dedication at moderate prices for the service offered. Moreover the place where the same is located allows visitors to find a welcoming environment typical of the small villages with little confusion and the possibility to park a few steps from the restaurant. the local is splendid, the service is managed with care and you can get various courses ranging from meat to pizza, I recommend to start with one of the excellent starters of the house where you can fully enjoy the taste of local products such as meats and cheeses or even crocchés handmade by the chef or the caponata also made entirely by hand by the chef. Attached the photos of my last dinner in chronological order appetizer of the house, pizza with porcini mushrooms, spicy salami and garlic oil, an explosion of flavors for those like me love the strong and delicious foods, accompanying everything with a beautiful glass of pinned beer. recommended to those looking for a warm and welcoming environment and good food to get by themselves or in company."
