"What a surprise. A quick visit to the sleepy hollow of Gansbaai and having to dodge load shedding, brought us to the Goose. I really liked the menu, which oozed quality, because it's limited. A really good wine list too. The food did not disappoint and neither did the wine. The service was absolutely amazing. This is a world class establishment with a great vibe. Well done!"

"I visited Gansbaai last weekend and had lunch here. The waiter was great really professional, however the food was absolutely shocking. I asked if the tuna was fresh and i was assured it was however when i received the tuna salad it clearly was frozen tuna and in fact was brown black in color. My friend ordered a bacon burger and found two long brown hairs in between the patty and the bacon. We returned the food and offered to pay for it. I understand a restaurant can have a bad day I am in hospitality myself. The issue we have is that at no point did anyone from management approach to apologize. The waiter did his best to try sooth the situation. We left with no drama but i felt it needed to be addressed here. I hope this feedback will help them sort out the food quality control and the management response when something goes wrong."
