Based on the average review of 4.4, the Higurashi is definitely worth a visit.

What Liliia W likes about Higurashi:
Really nicely ageded place with delicious crispy cheese and a ham sandwich. We also enjoyed cheesecake and matcha latte that was surprisingly mildly sweet that highlights naturally sweet matcha taste. Service was really kind and they let us in 30 min before closing. (In the photos there were only 3 sandwich pieces but I ate one) View all feedback.

What RE V doesn't like about Higurashi:
The new york style cheesecake here is very good! The hot chocolate was just fine. It is unfortunately allowed to smoke in there and the cafe interior itself was a little.. View all feedback.

"Location: across the street from Fugenin-in temple on Senjuin dori;one half block from Main Street of Koyasan . There are menus displayed in front of the entrance, that say vegetarian in English. Food: lunch only. Set meals with tofu, veggies, sesame tofu, barley rice mixture, rice bowls with veggies, or udon noodles. Moderate prices and quick service.if the Cafe Bon On Shya is closed or full, and you don't want to pay a lot for shojin ryori, this cafe is worth trying for lunch or a , coffee or tea break. "Staying one night in this temple in Koyasan is clearly recommended not only eating completely vegan, the staff also speaks English and is very friendly and welcoming. We loved the free rental bikes provided and the famous Okuno-in-Kemetry is only a few minutes walk away. The morning prayer session was a unique experience, the rooms were large with garden view and private bathroom. It was very cold in March, but Futon, hot bath and heating made the room very cozy at night. All in all, our stay here was unforgettable. Updated by previous rating on 2022-06-16"
