"What a meal we had! We had company from San Jose and wanted a special meal before they left. The place was BUSY but we didn't wait too long to be seated. The margaritas were stellar. Our professional waitress, Harley, knew her specials and was able to sell them. We enjoyed the catfish special, blackened salmon, squash ravioli and the prawns with cheesy, bacon grits. No one left a crumb. I had homemade apple pie at home BUT Harley sold us on dessert. Now I know why. It would have been a sin not to have the pecan pie topped with bananas Foster and ice cream. The best dessert I have ever had and I had to share it with my husband. The blueberry cheesecake was also enjoyed. Go early, avoid the rush."

"Was curious about the Woodrose around the corner, but ultimately chose Amillia’s because it looked less busy and I could watch my bicycle from the window seats. I knew I made a good choice when I saw all the little poetry clippings for customers to take by the check-stand… They were totally chill with making vegetarian substitutions and I can Heartily recommend Kristen’s Croissant with avocado in the place of ham."
