What Steve Brubaker likes about Powderhaus Brewing Company:
The best brewery in Boise as far as I'm concerned, but I gravitate towards German style beer. I originally visited this brewery years ago specifically because of their dill pickle beer, the Gherkin Gose. I figured if they were daring enough to make a beer like that, which is one of their flagship beers, the other beer must be great as well. I was not disappointed. I went in with a large group from work (20+ most of the group is in their 50's... the bartender was rude to the first few people he talked to who asked very basic questions(I was not one of them. At that point I didn't order anything. You would think 20 people come into your establishment that it's good for business. Apparently not. I'd rather spend my money where it's appreciated.
