"My wife and I stopped in on a Friday afternoon while returning from a firewood scouting endeavor. There was literally nobody in the place so naturally we received the utmost attention. After striking up a spirited conversation with our waitress Kelsey and testing the local Cutthroat brew and a fine glass of Chardonnay we decided to stay for a late lunch...both offerings the Sidewinder Burger and Fish Tacos) were excellent, the 1/2 lb. burger being incredibly spicy yet cooked perfectly with an awesome side of fries. All of the rooms are decorated with captivating black and white historical photographs of the region which often highlight the challenging winter climate prior to our modern modes of transportation. After the summer of 2021 I would suggest anyone in the vicinity take time and give this place a try. Having visited the Cutthroat several times over the past 30 years we were simply blown away with the recent remodel, the awesome service and food and drink."

"Didn't stay at the lodge, but did stop for breakfast. The food looked so good that we had it all eaten before I thought to snap a few photos. Biscuits and gravy Over the Top. Chicken Fried Steak, Gravy and Eggs Off the Hook! Western Omelet To Die For! If I didn't live all the way on the right hand coast of the US, I would stop here routinely for breakfast. The service was as good as the food."

"We've been enjoying coming here annually for a while, modulo recent fire and covid disruptions. The experience is a hearty, family style meal rather than high cuisine. The service and all have been excellent each visit."
