there was a beautiful young man named brandon, who was very helpful and polite, I would say he went the extra mile when he served us today. I am definitiw back.

I go to this Costa a lot and it's lovely. Especially impressed today as I was there with two friends and their babies, we stayed a long time and were never made...

"If you are anywhere near Pontefract and you fancy a nice coffee and something to eat then you won't go far wrong by visiting DJs Café at Maud's Yard, (off Market Place), Pontefract, WF8 1AQ Tel. 07947 395981. I was actually on a journey to Durham and decided to break the journey at Pontefract. Having never been there before I was delighted to find a warm welcome at DJs Café and delicious cheese and ham sourdough toasties. Hannah, who runs the business, is very professional and friendly. I could see there were several regulars who were enjoying their drinks and eats. I think the opening hours are Tuesdays 9am to 12.30pm. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9am to 3pm. Saturday 8am to 3pm. Closed Mondays and Sundays. The toasties were the very best and kept us going for several hours. The bakewell cake I took away was absolutely delicious and so fresh that even though I didn't eat it until 32 hours later it was still very fresh. Pontefract is definitely worth a visit if you are nearby. There is a great indoor market with a good variety of wares on sale. Parking is available at Morrison's supermarket, Stuart Road, WF8 1BT and it is only a short walk to the market place and Maud's Yard where you will find DJs Café. Thank you to the bakers and Hannah. To have a nice breakfast including coffee for two at under £17.00 is very good value and so fresh Thank you."

"Took my nana for afternoon tea for and on her birthday! It was absolutely amazing! We were made to feel very welcome the minute we walked in the door and Marina especially took the time to come see us and actually served our afternoon...tea. Everything was Home made, the tarts, scones everything!!! It was all nicely presented on what I think is a vintage stand and it was just the right size without being overwhelming. Great atmosphere, great food and drink-we’ll definitely be back!"

"Absolutely amazing experience. Delicious sushi, exemplary service and a wonderful night. The omakase course menu is superb and worth visiting for, as was the optional A5 wagyu course. A rather comprehensive drinks menu with a great variety of sake, plum wine and Japanese whiskies as well as more traditional western drinks. Stepping off a dark and rainy street in Leeds into what is easily recognisable as a very intimate and traditional Japanese sushi bar is surprising and welcome. The prep area is immaculately clean, the service by the wait staff polite, courteous and friendly, and the food prepared skillfully front and center. The drinks menu also includes a preface about omakase and sushi etiquette which is a nice introduction to anyone unsure or the ininitiated. I'm not surprised at all that this made the Michelin Guide in 2021 well deserved and speaks volumes to the quality of the establishment."
