"On a road trip, we had found some places closed when we found this cafe by chance. What a find! Tasty scones and good coffee in a nice old 'corner store ' made for a memorable morning tea stop. Instead of mass-produced and predictable muffins etc. there was a good variety of home-style cakes and other treats on offer; and a range of good-looking pies and sausage rolls, as well as light meals. Friendly staff too. There is a nice covered deck with a pleasant outlook. Closed Tuesdays. Better to book a table to be sure, during Covid 19 restrictions."

"And yes 4342, you will know who we are by this review. We have been to Cafe 4342 quite a few times and generally been very happy, but after our last time we will NEVER go again. The food was dreadful. We had only been...there 2 weeks earlier and our daughter ordered the same thing we had back then. The difference was chalk and cheese. We got the cheese; she got the chalk. When we told the chef we were disappointed, he was very defensive, becoming loud obnoxious, to the point where one of the staff came to our table afterwards and apologized for his rudeness. They took 20% off our bill, but it was still $145 for 4 people. For that much money we'll buy a couple of bottles of wine, some lovely crusty bread and a couple of kilos of prawns and stay home."

"I was looking for some coffee in Gatton and we were pleasantly surprised to stumble over this place. The coffee was excellent, the food delicious and the service was super friendly. Couldn't recommend enough. The daily menu means it would be a great place to go for breakfast lunch or dinner or just for a coffee. The atmosphere was also great."
