beautiful cozy hotel. clean and spacious. the hotel restaurant had delicious food, where we authentic Norwegian meatballs (kjøtkaker.) the staff was super charming, knowledgeable and friendly. this hotel is a small gem in the middle of a fairytale town. in the lobby they can even get fresh ice cubes. there was a sweet little stream right in front of the window with schafsweeping. I want to stay a day. read more.

The place also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat in beautiful weather.

What User doesn't like about Gaupnetunet:
the hotel does not know itself, but the camping houses are terrible. they get destroyed beds and dirty mattresses, bedclothes and kisses, they do not have to adapt to the dimensions with supplied bedclothes. we were not here, and the book was lost for two nights. read more.

"There is only one vegan option on the menu and it is the only place in Sogndal served everything vegan for dinner, so there is not exactly one choice. However, I really enjoyed the vegan burger, and the waitress was very friendly. Since we had a question about the burger (allergenic listings on the menu were confusing) the chef came to our table to answer our questions that we appreciated."
