What 1May V 4 years ago on Google doesn't like about De Griekse Frituur:
The food is ok when you're hungry, just another kebap with a better choice of sauces. They are very rude, from the cashier to the cook, will never go back there again View all feedback.
I wanted to give 'De Griekse Frituur ' five stars, but HappyCow notified me that this is only allowed for fully veg/vegan restaurants. So here is my four star five star review; ; 'De Griekse Frituur ' has been one of your favourite restaurants for a few years now. They initially offered a vegan option for their moussaka and salad bowl, but have since expanded to include falafel, keftedes, pita, and more. They are very receptive to feedback and always willing to make changes to their dishes. All of their food is homemade with love, and the quality is reflected in the taste. Whether you choose to dine in or take away, the staff is very friendly and makes you feel like part of their Greek family. I highly recommend this place!
Had takeaway. I had the vegan moussaka which was okay, but rather bland, lacking spices and salt. Like many non vegan places they remove ingredients to make dishes vegan, but don’t add anything. So the moussaka was just potatoes, tomato sauce and eggplant with the feta removed. It was busy, so I had to wait 30 minutes for my food, so consider calling first. The portion wasn’t very large, especially at €17 it felt disappointing. I also had the fries which are fried in vegetable oil, those had some herbs which was nice but they had no salt. They also have vegan pita, not sure what it’s made of, didn’t ask. Overall I was happy I found something to eat, but I won’t be going back unless I’m starving again and have no other options. Unfortunate because I’m sure they could make something great. Updated from previous review on 2023-07-02
Multiple vegan versions of classic Greek dishes. The vegan moussaka was delicious.
I don't know anything about gluten-free, don't account for cross-refinement.
Lots of fries but little fish on the fish dish. Calamari were hard. Discussion about the bill. Suddenly what had already been paid via the app was not the real price, but a lot more had to be paid. An additional cost for which no clear explanation could be given. VAT???? There was no strings attached, but it had to be paid for. Customer friendliness was lacking.
