What User likes about Gray's Hotel:
We called in to Gray's Hotel largely expecting a pub meal with a pub menu. Quite the opposite. Lovely warm friendly atmosphere and the meal was as good as any quality restaurant. I had Chicken Mignon with mushroom sauce served with a rocket, walnut and parmesan salad and my husband enjoyed his delicious roast. Beautifully presented on tastefully chosen plates. What User doesn't like about Gray's Hotel:
the service was excellent, and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately the seafood tower was VERY disappointing. Most of the "seafood" was supermarket packaged, cooked in the deep fryer. The fish "fillets" were a dead give away, as they were all in a uniformed triangle shape. The salt and pepper squid was VERY salty. The crumbed prawns were crunchy but dry.
