"When I travel for work, I almost always sit at the bar to have my dinner. There usually is some camaraderie and friendly interaction, which is nice for a single traveler. Not tonight, not at Bistro 217. Patrons were not friendly, bartenders were not friendly. I always come here to eat when I am in Georgetown, and I found the food to be somewhat lower in quality. The Korean Chicken was very sweet, the pimento cheese with the bread basket was tasteless and the rolls were really stale. The wine list, as always, was very good. It was a disappointing visit."

"Wonderful! Loved the Mud Monster (chocolate chocolate almond ice cream, brownies and hot fudge). Lots of everything. The brownie pieces were bite-size, not tiny bits. It was almost too much for one person! Enjoy! Update July 2022: Painters is still an amazing bit of ice cream indulgence! The caramel confection with salted caramel ice cream, layers of caramel, and pretzels was worthy of a return trip the same week."
