"A local restaurant in Main St. Newmarket, The Goulash House is a must if you try delicious Hungarian cuisine The menu is accessible via a QR code and as soon as you are ready, just let the server know. We ordered the Beef Goulash and Schnitzel on a bun (you can choose between chicken or pig, and both took about 10-15 minutes to come. I loved the Beef Goulash, it was very tasteful and there were also a lot of delicate beef sticks in it. I would say it is the perfect delicious meal to have on a cold winter day! The carving on a bun was also very nice, the rolls were soft and the chicken was also nicely broken. It is similar to a Katsu, but it is much thinner, less flaky and definitely not tasted as oily. Try Abit of Bread in the Goulash, it is a great combination The scavenger on a bun also came with fries and I loved how it was nicely seasoned too! "The women (sisters? who run this place are angels. I dropped in once to grab breakfast (a delicious homemade quiche and the most fabulous french toast , not knowing this was the home of Ontario's best buttertarts. I grabbed a few on my way out since my family loves them, and now I've had to return several times for more. Always fantastic customer service, always a great selection of tarts. If you're in the area you'd be missing out if you didn't pop in."
