I had the vegan shrimp sweet chow mein, and both dishes were quite good. The shrimp tasted almost identical to real shrimp! However, I wouldn't order the shrimp again since I've never been a big fan of it. I’m just suggesting it for anyone who misses shrimp! View all feedback.

This is the first time I’ve ever given a low rating to any place on Happy Cow. The food was just okay and seemed very greasy. We ordered the vegan volcano chicken, veggie chow mein, and egg rolls. We waited 50 minutes for our food. Yes 50, with no explanation or apology from the waitress until it was time to pay and tip. Eating was pretty okay. I also tried the garlic aubergine dish and omgggg, which was probably the best thing I have. the rice and noodles were nothing special, in fact they had a little more taste. the volcanic huh thai tee was hella bomb
The pineapple curry thing is quite tasty. The employees are super responsive to vegans.

The first thing that impressed me was how helpful our waiter, Adam, was! After mentioning that we were vegan, plus I can only tolerate a very small amount of onions and garlic (yeah, what am I doing eating dinner in Gilroy?! , he gave us several suggestions for modifying things that were on the Vegetarian menu. We ordered per Adam's suggestions and everything was absolutely delicious! We had Tempura String Beans perfectly cooked with regular tempura sauce instead of the garlic aoli, Tom Yum Soup full of veggies, and Spicy (Garlic Eggplant without the garlic. The chef made flavorful substitutions that were very tasty. We will eat at Pineapple Village again the next time we are passing through Gilroy!
Just be sure to ask for it without egg. It's my fav place in town for fried rice.
