Went for fish and chips disappointed with the fish, not as good as the lost time we were there. The atmosphere is good with a window seat of the lake Winnipeg.

"We had lunch in Gimli at this restaurant yesterday. First time there, and was very disappointed. As I noted many people so you have to wait a long time for your food. If they can’t get their stuff together, they will not keep getting clientele to come back. The waitress was good, but she also kept apologizing about the time we were waiting over an hour. Pickerel tacos were over done and had some weird teriyaki sauce on them that made them gross. And one friend had the club sandwich and she said it was quite good. If your kitchen can’t accommodate the number of tables and give a good timely service with your food, you should rethink or modify your menu to accommodate faster service. Very disappointing.!!!"

"I love Chicken Chef. It’s my favourite fried chicken. Not feeling very hungry I ordered the perogy snack. I have had perogies before and have had Chicken Chef perogies before. When they arrived they were weirdly cracked. When I took a bite the inside was frozen. I rarely return anything and I knew how busy the staff was, but I did ask for a new order. The second order was so hard it was hard to eat. I ate some and when I discussed with waiter who asked how it was, he explained they were deep fried. Well ok then. Would not order the perogies here clearly an issue."

"This little restaurant serves the best pickeral fish and chip dishes with their own tartar sauce recipe! Delicious! They also have amazing milk shakes! They are even available for takeout in the Winter months. So thankful! Kris' Fish and Chips is strategically located right across from the Lakeview Resort. If you haven't stopped in, you should. You will plan your time around their hours next time you pass through. Enjoy!"

"My mother and I stopped by for lunch and it was great! We both ordered crepes and it was a very satisfying lunch. There are partitions in place to separate the tables and felt very safe with the covid protocols in place. As we were...leaving, the smokers were going for the bbq that evening and I’ll go back to give that a try."
