My husband and I were in Vancouver for 3 days and MeLu was our go-to lunch spot every day.
Okay, I'm a little torn about writing this review I have been told by friends to check out MELU for healthy lunch options downtown.
Cute juice bar with nice decor_No greeting when I walked in at all, just a "your total is $xx" when I went to pay.

"When we visited it was busy with some of the tables outside reserved. They found us a small table inside, which was very acceptable as we had just turned up on spec. The atmosphere was lively as it is quite small and cosy and the food decent. I had the Entrecote, which was cooked as asked for and my wife had a few tapas which she enjoyed. It was more expensive than many of the other local restaurants we visited but we realised that would be the case when we were handed the menus. Worth a visit."

"Ate here with husband on last night of our holiday on personal recommendation. Staff were very good. Very efficient and helpful. Food was different, the black pudding starter was authentic and very different to the english/scottish variety. And a large portion too.. as previous people have said its all about the meat. Literally the tiniest accompaniments to the rustic meat. If you are a veggie lover then its possibly not the place for you. Lots of spanish people eating which is always a good sign. House wine good."

"From the outside this place doesn't look much with a few stools dotted around a fairly tight area. However, it was always busy whenever we passed so we decided to give it a go. It was absolutely well worth it! There is a limited choice (basically steak and chips) and a limited drinks menu we had beer. It is good to watch the chef preparing your steak on the griddle and picking up on the buzz of the place. The steak was top quality and a very good portion for the price paid (11.95 euros). Don't expect a long romantic night as the space is limited and they need to keep turning the customers over though we were never rushed. What you will get is a taste of an authentic steak house and walk away highly satisfied. I'd recommend anyone to give this a go."
